What a bunker quantity survey covers

A bunker quantity survey establishes how much fuel is actually on board, before and after a delivery. Disputes are common, and the survey is what settles them.

What we check

• Tank soundings and ullages on all bunker tanks before and after delivery
• Temperature and density readings, with volume corrections applied
• Barge figures against vessel figures, including any measured shortfall
• Sampling and sealing, witnessed and recorded

What you receive

A report with the calculated quantities, the supporting measurements and photographs, issued promptly so it can be used commercially while the vessel is still in port.

Our surveys are carried out by seasoned Chief Engineers, and attendance in UAE ports can usually be arranged at short notice.
